Agrotis longidentifera
Agrotis longidentifera, also known as the brown cutworm, is a moth in the Noctuidae family. It was described by George Hampson in 1903 and is found in eastern and southern Africa and several Indian Ocean islands. Adults have about 16 mm long wings, and males have comb-like antennae on both sides. The larvae can cause significant damage to germinating maize (corn) plants.
