Afrikantis is the third instrumental album by American rapper Lil B. It was released on December 22, 2022, through Basedworld. The album is a jazz-influenced instrumental project and marks a departure from Lil B’s usual hip hop releases. He produced, mixed, and engineered the entire record. The 14-track album runs 1 hour, 11 minutes, and 18 seconds.

Background and style
Lil B has previously released instrumental projects, including Choices and Flowers and Tears 4 God (2012), and has self-produced later works like Black Ken (2017) and Platinum Flame (2018). Afrikantis leans toward avant-garde and electro-jazz, with less emphasis on melody or harmony than his earlier instrumentals.

Reception
Afrikantis was met with largely negative reviews. Critics criticized the discordant production and experimental approach. Some comparisons were drawn to classic jazz-fusion records, but overall the music was seen as difficult to listen to. Specific tracks received mixed attention: opening pieces feature dissonant brass and crashes, while "Cricket" was noted as one of the more focused tracks. The California-themed later tracks introduce more hip-hop-inspired elements. Some reviewers acknowledged the album’s originality and humor, but many viewed the production as cheap-sounding and chaotic.
