Abdol Khan-e Pain
Abdol Khan-e Pain (Persian: عبدالخان پايين) is a village in Khuzestan province, Iran. It is the capital of Seyyed Abbas Rural District, in the Central District of Karkheh County.
The village used to be the capital of Shavur District until Shavur’s capital moved to the city of Shavur.
Population history:
- 2006: 2,631 people in 422 households, when it was part of Shavur District in Shush County.
- 2011: 3,067 people in 715 households.
- 2016: 3,061 people in 795 households (the most populous village in its rural district).
In 2019, Shavur District became part of the newly formed Karkheh County, and Seyyed Abbas Rural District became part of the new Central District of Karkheh County.
