AC927, or 1-(2-phenylethyl)piperidine, is a selective sigma receptor antagonist. It binds to sigma-1 receptors (Ki about 30 nM) and sigma-2 receptors (Ki about 138 nM) but has negligible binding to other major brain targets. Its chemical formula is C13H19N and its molar mass is about 189.3 g/mol. In mice, AC927 reduces locomotor activity caused by methamphetamine, suggesting it can dampen stimulant effects.
