Aşağı Küngüt

Aşağı Küngüt is a village and municipality in the Shaki District of Azerbaijan. It has about 1,298 residents. The name Küngüt comes from the ancient name Kang (Kangar) with a Sogdian plural suffix -t; ancient Chinese records spell it as Guniue. The village is in the AZT time zone (UTC+4), changing to UTC+5 in summer.
