23rd Lumière Awards

The 23rd Lumières Awards ceremony took place in Paris on 5 February 2018 to celebrate the best French films of 2017. The nominations were announced on 11 December 2017. BPM (Beats per Minute) dominated the night, winning Best Film and taking six awards from six nominations. Robin Campillo won Best Director for BPM, Nahuel Pérez Biscayart won Best Actor for BPM, and Jeanne Balibar won Best Actress. Other notable nominees included Until the Birds Return, Faces Places, The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales..., and Insyriated. The ceremony was hosted by Laurie Cholewa and Pierre Zeni.
