Justice Haynes

Justice Haynes is an American college football running back for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He previously played for Alabama and Michigan. Born on October 24, 2004, in Alpharetta, Georgia, Haynes is 5’11” and about 210 pounds. His father, Verron Haynes, played in the NFL and won a Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In high school, Haynes first played at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Roswell, then transferred to Buford for his senior year. He was a standout from the start, piling up big rushing numbers: nearly 6,000 career yards and 72 touchdowns across his time in high school. He was considered one of the nation’s top running backs and committed to Alabama.

At Alabama (2023–2024), Haynes appeared as a true freshman in 2023 and had 168 rushing yards with 2 touchdowns on 25 carries. In 2024, he played in all 12 games, starting six, with 79 carries for 448 yards and seven touchdowns, plus 17 receptions for 99 yards.

Haynes entered the transfer portal on December 13, 2024, and moved to Michigan on December 24, 2024 to play for the Wolverines. In the 2025 season, he opened with a burst of big performances: 159 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns on 16 carries in his first game, followed by strong showings of 125 yards and a touchdown, 104 yards and a touchdown, and 149 yards and a touchdown in the next games. He totaled 537 rushing yards in the first four games, becoming the first Michigan player to run for 100 yards in each of the first four games. He then had his fifth straight 100-yard game (117 yards, 2 TD) against Wisconsin, becoming the first Michigan player with five straight 100-yard games to start a season since 2010. He added a seventh game with 171 total yards against Michigan State, earning Co-Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors, but later suffered a foot injury that required surgery. In seven starts that season, he had 857 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.

On January 14, 2026, it was reported that Haynes entered the NCAA Transfer Portal again and committed to Georgia Tech, where he continues his college career.
