2025 Tour Championship
The 2025 Sportsbet.io Tour Championship took place from March 31 to April 6 at Manchester Central in Manchester, England. It was the 17th ranking event of the 2024–25 season and the last of three Players Series events. The tournament featured the top 12 players on the one-year ranking list, with the top four seeds going straight to the quarter-finals. All matches were the best of 19 frames. The total prize fund was £500,000, with the winner earning £150,000.
Defending champion Mark Williams was knocked out in the first round by Ding Junhui. John Higgins won the title, defeating Mark Selby 10–8 in the final. This was Higgins’ first Tour Championship win and the 33rd ranking title of his career; it also marked the 100th ranking title won by a member of the Class of ’92.
The event produced 39 centuries in total, with Higgins making a 144 break in the semi-final against Barry Hawkins. The final itself featured eight centuries, tying the record for most centuries in a best-of-19 frame match.
In the knockout rounds, Hawkins beat Trump in the quarter-finals, Higgins defeated Xiao Guodong, and Selby beat Ding Junhui to reach the semi-finals. Higgins then beat Hawkins 10–7 in the semi-final, while Selby defeated Ding 10–2. Higgins’s dramatic comeback in the final saw him from 8–5 down to win 10–8.
