2023 Japanese Regional Football Champions League
The 2023 Japanese Regional Football Champions League was the 47th edition of the cup for the top teams from Japan’s regional leagues and the Shakaijin Cup. It ran from 10 to 26 November 2023 in Japan, featuring 12 teams. In total, 24 matches were played, 64 goals were scored, and about 9,411 spectators attended.
Format: The first round used group play from 11–13 November, with three matches per team. The three group winners plus the best runner-up advanced to the final round, held from 22–26 November.
Results: Tochigi City FC won the championship, their first Regional Champions League title, and earned promotion to the Japan Football League (JFL). Runners-up Vonds Ichihara did not gain direct promotion and faced a playoff with the JFL bottom team. On 3 December 2023, Okinawa SV beat Vonds Ichihara in the playoff, so Okinawa SV stayed in the JFL and Vonds Ichihara remained in the Kantō Soccer League Division 1.
Notes: Briobecca Urayasu were the defending champions from 2022 but had moved up to the JFL. Top scorers were Ryunosuke Suzuki and Paulo Junichi Tanaka, with four goals each.
