2022 Players Championship Finals
The 2022 Cazoo Players Championship Finals was the 15th edition of the PDC event, with the top 64 players from the 2022 Players Championship series taking part. It happened from 25–27 November 2022 at Butlin's Minehead in Minehead, England. The tournament, run by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), used a legs format. The prize fund was £500,000, with the winner receiving £100,000.
Defending champion Peter Wright withdrew for family reasons and was replaced by Gian van Veen. Michael van Gerwen won the title for the seventh time, beating Rob Cross 11–6 in the final. He also hit the tournament’s only nine-dart finish and a 170 checkout in the final. To avoid clashing with England’s World Cup match on opening night, all first-round matches were played in a single daytime session.
The prize fund for 2022 stayed at £500,000 (it would rise to £600,000 in 2023). Qualification was based on the 30 Players Championship events’ prize money, with the top 64 players earning spots in the finals. There was no separate draw; players were placed in a fixed bracket by seed.
