Overview
- Como 1907 played in Serie B, the second tier of Italian football, for the first time since being promoted. It was their 115th year as a club.
- The club was owned by the Djarum Group, and Giacomo Gattuso was the head coach. Home games were at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia.
Pre-season and friendlies
- 31 July 2021: Como beat Renate 2–0 in a friendly.
- 13 August 2021: Como drew 1–1 with Juventus U23 in a friendly at Vinovo.

- This season marked Como’s return to Serie B after their previous season in a lower division. The club also featured a mix of homegrown players and several loan signings from other clubs.
