The 2020 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl was held December 22, 2020, at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho. It was the 24th edition of the bowl and part of the 2020–21 bowl season. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, no fans were in attendance. The Tulane Green Wave (American Athletic Conference) played the Nevada Wolf Pack (Mountain West). Tulane entered with a 6–5 record (3–5 in the AAC); Nevada was 6–2 (all in the Mountain West). The teams had met only once before, in 1992, when Tulane won 34–17; this was their first bowl meeting.

Nevada won the game 38–27. Nevada’s Carson Strong (QB) was named the MVP. The game kicked off at 3:30 p.m. EST (1:30 p.m. MST) and aired on ESPN. Tulane was coached by Willie Fritz; Nevada by Jay Norvell. The referee was Steve Strimling from the Pac-12. Attendance was 0. The international broadcast was on ESPN Deportes.
