2020 FC Kaisar season
2020 FC Kaisar season: FC Kaisar’s fourth year back in the Kazakhstan Premier League and 23rd overall. Chairman Nurlan Abuov; Manager Stoycho Mladenov; Home stadium Gani Muratbayev Stadium. They finished 7th in the Premier League and were runners-up in the Kazakhstan Super Cup after losing 1-0 to Astana. The Kazakhstan Cup was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the UEFA Europa League, Kaisar reached the Second Qualifying Round against APOEL. The top scorer was Elguja Lobjanidze with 8 league goals and 9 in all competitions. The season was heavily affected by COVID-19: fixtures began behind closed doors on 13 March, the league was suspended and then resumed on 1 July with no fans, and there was another suspension in early July. On 30 May Irtysh Pavlodar withdrew from the league, with their results excluded. Last updated 27 November 2020.
