2017 New York state high school boys basketball championships
The 2017 New York state high school boys basketball championships, also known as the Federation Tournament of Champions, took place March 24–26 at the Glens Falls Civic Center in Glens Falls, New York. The event crowned champions in three divisions: AA, A, and B.
Class AA
- Champion: Abraham Lincoln (Brooklyn) defeated Long Island Lutheran (Brookville) 80–63 in the final. Abraham Lincoln finished the season 31–3 and earned its fifth PSAL title, the most by any PSAL program.
- Most Valuable Player: Donald Cannon-Flores of Abraham Lincoln.
- All-Tournament Team included: Greg Calixte (Mount Vernon); Chris Coalmon (Long Island Lutheran); Donatas Kupšas (Long Island Lutheran); Michael Reid (Abraham Lincoln); Joe Toussaint (Cardinal Hayes).
Class A
- Champion: Irondequoit (Irondequoit) defeated Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie) 54–43 in the final.
- All-Tournament Team and other honors included standout players from the participating teams; the class also featured notable performances and a Most Valuable Player recognition: Hameir Wright of Albany Academy was named the Class A MVP.
- Albany Academy finished the season with a 17–5 record.
Class B
- Champion: La Salle Academy (New York City) defeated Westhill (Geddes) 80–67 in the final.
- Most Valuable Player: James Bouknight of La Salle Academy.
- All-Tournament Team for Class B included players from several competing teams: Brandon Abrams (Monsignor Farrell); Gerald Drumgoole (Irondequoit); Louis Florimon (Walton Campus); August Mahoney (Albany Academy); Derek Smith (Walton Campus). The competition also recognized a Sportsmanship Award winner: C.J. Mulvey of Albany Academy.
The tournament showcased the top high school teams from across New York State in three classes, with Abraham Lincoln claiming the Class AA title, Irondequoit winning Class A, and La Salle Academy taking Class B.
