2017 Carpathian Trophy

The 2017 Carpathian Trophy was the 49th edition of the women’s handball tournament, held in Craiova, Romania, from 24 to 26 November. Organized by the Romanian Handball Federation, four teams from two confederations competed.

Poland won the title, earning their first Carpathian Trophy. Romania finished as runners-up, followed by Brazil in third place and North Macedonia in fourth.

Six matches were played, with a total of 299 goals scored (about 49.8 per game).

The top scorer was Elena Gjeorgjievska, and the best player award went to Cristina Neagu.

Poland’s team was coached by Leszek Krowicki.
