2016 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs football
The 2016 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs represented Louisiana Tech University in the NCAA Division I FBS season. They played home games at Joe Aillet Stadium in Ruston, Louisiana, in the West Division of Conference USA. The team was led by fourth-year head coach Skip Holtz.
They finished 9–5 overall and 6–2 in Conference USA, winning the West Division title. They appeared in the Conference USA Championship Game, where they lost to Western Kentucky 44–58. They were invited to the Armed Forces Bowl and defeated Navy 48–45.
The offense set a historic mark by having a quarterback throw for over 4,500 yards, a running back rush for over 1,000 yards, and two receivers each with over 1,500 receiving yards in the same season. Todd Fitch was the offensive coordinator in his first year, and Blake Baker was the defensive coordinator in his second year. The home stadium was Joe Aillet Stadium.
Louisiana Tech announced its 2016 schedule on February 4, 2016, with five home games and seven away games in the regular season.
