2015 Parapan American Games torch relay

Two torches marked the 2015 Parapan American Games torch relay in Ontario, Canada. The five-day event ran from August 3 to August 7, 2015. One flame lit at Niagara Falls in the west and the other at Ottawa in the east; the two torches traveled about 700 kilometres (430 miles) and then came together in Toronto. About 250 torchbearers carried the flames. Canadians aged 13 or older as of August 3, 2015 could apply to carry the torch, with applications open from April 7 to 19, 2015. Most torchbearers were chosen randomly, while some were selected by local relay communities and games partners. All cities on the route were in Ontario.
