2007–08 NLA season
The 2007–08 National League A season was the first after Switzerland’s league reorganization, and the league adopted the name National League A. Twelve teams played 50 games in the regular season. SC Bern finished with the best record, while Genève-Servette was the runner-up. The league’s top scorer was Erik Westrum of Ambri-Piotta.
Promotion and relegation: EHC Biel, the champions of National League B, earned promotion to National League A after defeating EHC Basel Sharks 4–0. Basel Sharks were relegated to National League B.
Playoffs: The post-season featured Genève-Servette, Fribourg-Gottéron, Davos, and ZSC Lions. In the semifinals, Genève-Servette defeated Fribourg-Gottéron, and ZSC Lions defeated Davos. In the final, ZSC Lions defeated Genève-Servette to win the championship, making Genève-Servette the runners-up.
