2°C Me no Kanojo
"2°C Me no Kanojo" is a 2009 single by the Japanese band SID, from their album Hikari. It was released on January 14, 2009 in three editions: a regular CD with three tracks, and two limited editions with a bonus DVD.
The title track was used as the theme song for the TV programs Arabiki-dan (TBS) and PVTV (TV Tokyo). The B-side, "Nakidashita Onna to Kyomu-kan," was used in a GemCEREY jewelry commercial. The third track is a live version of "Owakare no Uta" recorded at Nippon Budokan.
critics described the song as powerful and melancholic with a winter-themed, danceable love vibe. The B-side was noted as jazzy and about love.
On the charts, the single reached No. 3 on the Oricon Singles Chart and stayed on the chart for 12 weeks; it peaked at No. 2 on Tower Records’ Japanese Rock and Pop Singles chart. It sold 48,213 physical copies and became SID’s eighth best-selling single on Oricon. It was certified Gold by the RIAJ for more than 100,000 digital downloads. All lyrics were written by Mao.
