1991 Northwestern Wildcats football team
In 1991, Northwestern Wildcats football represented Northwestern University in the NCAA Division I-A season. Under sixth-year head coach Francis Peay, the team finished 3–8 overall and 2–6 in the Big Ten, placing ninth in the conference. The captains were Darryl Ashmore, Dan Freveletti, Dwight James, and Ed Sutter. Home games were played at Dyche Stadium. The offense was led by quarterback Len Williams (1,630 passing yards), running back Dennis Lundy (568 rushing yards), and wide receiver Mark Benson (831 receiving yards). Northwestern also played a home game against Ohio State in Cleveland.
