1991 Leitrim County Council election
An election to Leitrim County Council was held on 27 June 1991 as part of the Irish local elections. All 22 councillors were elected from four local electoral areas (LEAs) using proportional representation by the single transferable vote (PR-STV) for a five-year term. The term was later extended twice, to 1998 and then to 1999.
Results:
- Fianna Fáil: 9 seats (down 1)
- Fine Gael: 9 seats (up 1)
- Sinn Féin: 1 seat (down 1)
- Independent Fianna Fáil: 1 seat (no change)
- Independents: 2 seats (up 1)
No party won a majority, so the council had no overall control after the election.
