1952 VFA season
14 teams competed in the 1952 VFA season. Oakleigh won the premiership, defeating Port Melbourne by 21 points in the Grand Final on 4 October. This was Oakleigh’s fourth VFA premiership. Port Melbourne were the minor premiers, their fourth minor premiership. The season began with 20 home-and-away matches, after which the top four clubs played a finals series under the Page–McIntyre system to decide the premiers.
