Yamaha FZX750 (also known as FZX700; US Fazer) was a standard motorcycle produced by Yamaha from the early 1980s to the mid-1990s. In the United States it appeared briefly as the FZX700 Fazer in 1986–1987, with a slightly smaller engine to avoid import tariffs on bikes over 700 cc.

The bike uses a DOHC inline-four engine with 20 valves. The FZX750 version is 749 cc; the FZX700 is 698 cc. Bore and stroke are 68 mm x 51.6 mm (FZX750) or 68 mm x 48 mm (FZX700). Top speed is around 130–137 mph (209–220 km/h) at about 9,500 rpm. Power is about 85 hp (63 kW) for the FZX750 and around 65 hp (48 kW) measured at the rear wheel for the FZX700.

Key specs: wheelbase about 1,520 mm; seat height about 750 mm. Dry weight around 440 lb (200 kg); wet weight around 492 lb (223 kg). Fuel capacity is 13 L (3.4 US gal). Fuel consumption roughly 4.94 L/100 km (about 57 mpg UK or 47.6 mpg US).

Design notes: It featured downdraft carburetors built into a 13 L tank, a relatively solid rear wheel, and a low seat with extra chrome.
