William Marillier
William Marillier (c. 1832 – 3 January 1896) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket. He was born in Harrow, Middlesex, the son of J. F. Marillier, a Harrow School master. He studied at Harrow and later Haileybury, and was known for saving the life of E. W. Craigie while skating in Harrow Park, for which he was awarded.
Marillier played three first-class matches for the Gentlemen of England between 1853 and 1856, against the Gentlemen of Kent and against Surrey and Sussex. He scored 15 runs in total, with a top score of 11 and an average of 3.75, and took one catch.
Outside cricket, he was a schoolteacher, serving as master of Rotherhithe Grammar School from 1853 to 1889. He then worked as the librarian of the Rotherhithe Free Library from 1890 until his death in Croydon, Surrey, England, on 3 January 1896, aged about 63 or 64.
