Union des jeunesses communistes marxistes-léninistes
Union des jeunesses communistes marxistes-léninistes (UJC(ml)) was a French Maoist youth group. It was founded on December 10, 1966, by young activists expelled from the Union of Communist Students. The UJC(ml) followed far-left, Maoist ideas. On June 12, 1968, President Charles de Gaulle banned the organization by decree in response to the May 1968 protests. After the ban, some former members formed a new political movement called Gauche prolétarienne.
