Under the Knife (EP)

Under the Knife is the second EP by American metalcore band Hatebreed, released in 1996 by Smorgasbord Records. It combines the band’s first 7-inch release (also titled Under the Knife) with three extra demo tracks. The EP has been reissued several times: in 1998 by Smorgasbord, in 2000 by Smorgasbord and Victory Records, and in 2006 by Cortex Records. The 7-inch vinyl includes the first four tracks, while the CD version has all seven tracks. There were many vinyl editions: 500 copies on black vinyl with a limited edition photocopied cover; 6,000 additional black vinyl copies; and color variants of 200 green, 200 gold, 500 white, 300 red, 300 blue, and 500 orange. All tracks except the title track "Under the Knife" were later re-recorded for other Hatebreed releases.
