Thomas Ellis (born 1 March 1828, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England; date of death unknown) was an English cricketer who played for Yorkshire from 1849 to 1851. He appeared in eight matches for Yorkshire. In 1849 he played twice against Lancashire; in 1850 he played once against an All England Eleven; in 1851 he played four more matches, with two against Lancashire and two against Surrey. He scored 75 runs in eight matches, with a top score of 19 not out. As a bowler, he took 17 wickets at an average of 8.20, including a five-wicket haul against Lancashire in 1851. He also umpired one match in 1852, a game between Manchester and Sheffield.
