Telmatochromis temporalis
Telmatochromis temporalis is a species of cichlid found only in Lake Tanganyika. It lives among rocky shores at depths of about 5–10 meters, sometimes down to 20 meters. The fish grows to about 10.2 centimeters in length. It is sometimes kept in aquariums. The IUCN lists it as Least Concern. The species was described by George Albert Boulenger in 1898. It has had several synonyms in the past, including Julidochromis macrolepis, Lamprologus macrolepis, Telmatochromis lestradei, Telmatochromis burgeoni, and Perissodus burgeoni.
