Symmela beskei
Symmela beskei is a small beetle in the Scarabaeidae family found in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It measures about 5.5 mm long. The head is shiny blackish brown with sparse setae. The pronotum is two-toned—blackish brown and yellowish—and iridescent. The elytra are yellowish brown with black margins. The species was described in 2022 by Pacheco, Wipfler, Monné and Ahrens and is named after C.H. Beské, who collected the type specimen.
