Steve Watkins (born July 19, 1978) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He was born in Lubbock, Texas, and batted and threw right-handed. Watkins made his Major League Baseball debut with the San Diego Padres on August 21, 2004, and played his last MLB game on October 2, 2004. In MLB, he had a 0–0 record with a 6.28 ERA and 7 strikeouts.

Drafted by the Padres in the 16th round of the 1998 draft, Watkins spent part of his career in other organizations. He played in the Cleveland Indians organization in 2005 and the Washington Nationals organization in 2006. In 2007, he pitched for the Padres’ Triple-A team, the Portland Beavers, going 2–5 with a 5.17 ERA and 56 strikeouts. In 2008, he played for the Chinatrust Whales in Taiwan’s CPBL, finishing with a 6–13 record, a 4.19 ERA, and 85 strikeouts.
