Stephanie Millward is a British Paralympic swimmer. She was born on September 20, 1981, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and grew up in Wiltshire, England. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) at age 17, which led her to compete in the S9 disability class. In 2016, after a reclassification at the Berlin Open, she began racing in the S8 class.

She first reached the Paralympic stage in 2008, competing in four S9 events in Beijing. Millward enjoyed success at European and World Championships in the following years, earning multiple golds, silvers, and bronzes in various freestyle, backstroke, medley, and relay events.

At the 2012 London Paralympics, she won her first Paralympic medal, a silver in the 100-meter backstroke (S9), and added several more medals in relays and medley events. Her 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympics were a major highlight: she won two gold medals (including the 100-meter backstroke in S8 and the 4×100-meter medley relay 34 pts), plus a silver in the 200-meter individual medley (SM8) and bronzes in the 400-meter freestyle (S8) and 100-meter freestyle (S8).

Millward has also represented England at the Commonwealth Games, winning silver in the 100-meter butterfly and the 100-meter freestyle (both S9) at Delhi 2010, and bronze in the 50-meter freestyle (S9).

Off the pool, Millward was awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2017 for services to swimming. She was named a deputy lieutenant of Wiltshire in 2021 and serves as an ambassador for Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance. She attended The Corsham School in Wiltshire and is known for her determination and leadership in British Paralympic sport.
