Steinberg Museum of Art, formerly known as Hillwood Art Museum and as Steinberg Museum of Art at Hillwood, is part of Long Island University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts at the C.W. Post Campus in Brookville, New York. It is located on the lower level of the B. Davis Schwartz Library.

Established in 1988, the museum hosts rotating exhibitions year-round, ranging from ancient to contemporary art. It also houses a private collection that is on view in the Permanent Collection Gallery. The museum offers family days, lectures, performances, and education programs for school groups.

The museum is directed by Barbara Applegate and is funded by the Thaw Charitable Trust Endowment and the New York State Council on the Arts, with support from Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. In November 2017, it opened its first exhibition in the new space, Abstract Expressionism Behind the Iron Curtain. The Permanent Collection includes more than 4,000 objects.
