Stary Biser is an urban-type settlement in Gornozavodsky District, Perm Krai, Russia. It was founded in 1787 around an iron foundry that operated until the early 20th century. In the 1920s, the settlement served as a base for a shop making shaped iron castings at the Teplogorsk Casting and Mechanical Plant. The area includes two sites of the old Biser Teplogorskiy factory (from the 17th–19th centuries) and a house where the prominent RSDLP(b) activist Sergeyev lived. In 1926, with local mines exhausted, pig-iron production at the Biserka metallurgical plant stopped and the plant closed. Stary Biser was designated an urban-type settlement on August 27, 1928. Population: 708 (2002); 523 (2010); 328 (2023 estimate). Time zone: UTC+5. Postal code: 618861.
