Sound & Vision is an American magazine about home theater, audio, video, and multimedia gear. It began in 1958 under the name Stereo Review and over time used several titles: HiFi and Music Review (1958), HiFi Review (1959), HiFi/Stereo Review (1961), and finally Stereo Review (1968).

In the late 1980s the magazine was owned by CBS Magazines and in 1989 it absorbed High Fidelity. During the 1990s the focus expanded to home theater topics. In 1999 Stereo Review merged with Video to form Stereo Review’s Sound & Vision, and in 2000 the magazine adopted the title Sound & Vision.

The publication changed hands several times: Bonnier bought it in 2009, Source Interlink acquired it in 2013 and merged it with Home Theater. In March 2018 AVTech Media Ltd. (UK) purchased Sound & Vision. The October/November 2024 issue was the last print edition; the brand continues online at soundandvision.com.

Key details: the magazine was based in New York City, with Editor Mark Henninger and Publisher Keith Pray. It was founded in 1958 and carried the ISSN 1537-5838. Notable longtime staff included editor Louise Boundas (late 1980s–1990s) and longtime reviewer Julian Hirsch (1961–1998).
