Skipper Roberts (baseball)

Clarence Ashley "Skipper" Roberts (January 11, 1888 – December 24, 1963) was an American baseball catcher. He batted left-handed and threw right-handed. Roberts was born in Wardner, Idaho, and died in Long Beach, California, at age 75.

He made his Major League debut on June 12, 1913, with the St. Louis Cardinals. He also played for the Chicago Chi-Feds in 1914 and the Pittsburgh Rebels in 1914 and 1915. In his MLB career, he appeared in 82 games, had 138 at-bats, and collected 29 hits.
