The Shropshire Senior Cup is a yearly football competition for senior teams in Shropshire, England. It is open to both professional and non-professional clubs and is run by the Shropshire Football Association. First staged in 1877, it is one of the oldest cup competitions in the world, and the original trophy is still presented to the winners. The inaugural final in 1877–78 saw Shrewsbury Town beat Wellington Parish Church Institute 1–0. Over the years, Shrewsbury Town and Telford United have dominated, with AFC Telford United taking over after the old Telford United folded in 2004. Other Shropshire clubs that have participated in recent years include Market Drayton Town, Shifnal Town, Bridgnorth Town, Ludlow Town and The New Saints. The current champions are Whitchurch Alport, who claimed their first title. The competition’s most successful club is Shrewsbury Town, with 66 titles.
