Seventeen Evergreen is a San Francisco duo made up of Caleb Pate and Nephi Evans. They mix psychedelic rock with electronic sounds and release music on their own Pacific Radio Fire label, while also licensing tracks to the UK label Lucky Number Music (home to artists like Sebastien Tellier). Their debut album, Life Embarrasses Me On Planet Earth, was released in the United States in 2005; a remixed version came out in 2007 through Lucky Number for Europe and Japan. The band has built a following in Europe and has appeared on BBC radio, including Rob da Bank's show on BBC Radio 1 and on BBC 6 Music. They also played at the 2007 End of the Road Festival in Dorset, England.
