Scouting on the Isle of Man is part of the Scout Association of the United Kingdom. The Island Headquarters are at Cunningham House in Douglas, and the island has its own campsite, Mullin ny Carty. Some groups also have bunkhouses or extra campsites.

The Scout Association’s Patron is the Lieutenant Governor, Sir John Lorimer, and its President is the former Chief Minister, Sir Miles Walker.

The first Isle of Man Scout Group was the 1st Malew Group. It started as 1st Isle of Man and was renamed as more groups began. The Manx scarf and name tag are red and white, reflecting early links with Air Scouts.

Irish Scouts have visited the island, helped by Sir Charles Kerruish who offered land for camping, and many groups formed friendships with the Speaker of the House of Keys. In 1979, for the 1,000th anniversary of Tynwald, Irish Scouts joined the guard of honour for Queen Elizabeth II, and all uniformed personnel received a special medal.

Manx Scouts have taken part in World Scout Jamborees:
- 2007: ten Manx Scouts and a Leader at the 21st Jamboree as part of the Cumbria and Isle of Man Unit.
- 2011: nine Manx Scouts and a Leader at the 22nd Jamboree with Cheshire.
- 2015: three Scouts and one Leader at the 23rd Jamboree in Japan as Isle of Man/Merseyside.
- 2019: nine Scouts and one Leader at the 24th Jamboree, Unit 41, Isle of Man/Cumbria, hosted by Canada, the United States and Mexico.

The Three Legs Challenge is a hiking challenge for all Scouts and Scout Network members. Participants must walk three of the island’s long-distance trails within 12 months. The name comes from the island’s Triskelion symbol.

For older youth, Isle of Man Scouting includes:
- Onchan, Douglas, Northern and Southern District Explorer units
- The Isle of Man Scout Network.
