Scott of Kinghorn

Scott of Kinghorn was a shipbuilding company based in Kinghorn, near Burntisland in Fife, Scotland. It started as J Scott and Company and was trading by the 1870s. The firm built paddle ferries for the Firth of Forth. By the early 1900s it also ran an engine works that made triple-expansion engines for large steamships. Trade fell in the Edwardian era and the company stopped production in 1909. A known vessel built by the company was the PS Stirling Castle (1899).
