Scott Oudsema
Scott Oudsema (born July 1, 1986, in Kalamazoo, Michigan) is a former American professional tennis player. A right-handed player who stood 6 ft 3 in, he earned about $164,610 in prize money. His best singles ranking was 255, and his best doubles ranking was 151.
Junior highlights include winning the doubles at the 2002 Orange Bowl with Phillip Simmonds, then taking the 2003 Australian Open boys’ doubles with Simmonds. In 2004 he won three junior Grand Slam doubles titles with Brendan Evans (Australian Open, Wimbledon, US Open) and reached the French Open juniors semi-finals. He also lost the 2004 USTA Boys 18 singles final to Scoville Jenkins in his hometown.
On the pro tour, Oudsema played mainly doubles. He reached the second round of the US Open doubles once, in 2005 with Alex Kuznetsov. His lone ATP Tour singles win came at the 2006 Countrywide Classic, where he beat Benjamin Becker before losing to Andy Roddick. He won three ATP Challenger titles—one in singles and two in doubles.
In 2009 he helped the Washington Kastles win their first World Team Tennis title and was the Finals MVP. He retired later that year.
