Rooms-Katholiek Kerkgenootschap
Rooms-Katholiek Kerkgenootschap (RKK), meaning Roman Catholic Church Association, was a special public broadcaster in the Netherlands. It was part of the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system and broadcast on radio and TV because of its religious background. Founded in 1957 and owned by the Netherlands Public Broadcasting, RKK operated under the Dutch Mediawet (Article 2.42), which allows faith-based broadcasters to exist without members. Together with the KRO, RKK managed Catholic Church broadcasts in the Netherlands and aired Catholic events such as the Urbi et Orbi papal addresses at Easter and Christmas.
