Raynolds Pass
Raynolds Pass is a mountain pass on the Montana–Idaho border in the Rocky Mountains. It sits at 6,844 feet (2,086 meters) and lies on the Continental Divide, spanning Fremont County, Idaho, and Madison County, Montana. The pass is traversed by Idaho State Highway 87 and Montana Highway 87, connecting U.S. Route 20 in Idaho with U.S. Route 287 in Montana. It is named after Captain William F. Raynolds, an early explorer who led the Raynolds Expedition in the Yellowstone region. The road here is gentle, with only a light grade and few sharp curves.
