Prosigk

Prosigk is a small village in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district and has been part of the town of Südliches Anhalt since January 1, 2010. The village covers about 15 square kilometers and had around 750 residents in 2006. It lies about 58 km from Leipzig and 152 km from Berlin. Prosigk's economy is based on industry and agriculture. The village also runs a museum devoted to the history of its fire brigade and other local services.
