Paprika is a 1933 Italian comedy film in the light, stylish “white-telephones” tradition. It was directed by Carl Boese and stars Vittorio De Sica. The screenplay was written by Oreste Biancoli and Bobby E. Lüthge, and it is based on the play Der Sprung in die Ehe by Max Reimann and Otto Schwartz. The movie was produced by Ferruccio Biancini and Viktor Klein, with cinematography by Reimar Kuntze, editing by Fernando Tropea, and music by Franz Waxman. It was released on November 1, 1933, in Italy and is in Italian. A German-language version and a French version were also made.
