Ovyursky District

Ovyursky District is one of the seventeen administrative and municipal districts in the Tuva Republic, Russia. It is located in the southwest part of Tuva. The district covers 4,400 square kilometers. The administrative center is the rural locality of Khandagayty. The population was 7,022 people in the 2010 census (with 7,930 in 2002 and 8,868 in 1989). About 45.7% of residents live in Khandagayty. The district is divided into six sumon (administrative divisions) and has six rural localities. The time zone is UTC+7. Website: http://ovur.tuva.ru/
