Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth is a 1997 song by American rock band the Dandy Warhols. It was released on June 16, 1997 as the first single from their second album, ...The Dandy Warhols Come Down. The track runs 3:11 and is an alternative rock song written by Courtney Taylor-Taylor, produced by Tony Lash and Courtney Taylor-Taylor, and released on Capitol and Tim/Kerr.

The song is dedicated to the Brian Jonestown Massacre, friends and rivals of the Dandy Warhols. They responded with their own track Not If You Were the Last Dandy on Earth. Taylor-Taylor has said the song is also about his girlfriend, who became a heroin addict after their first tour. The refrain “I never thought you'd be a junkie because heroin is so passé” is well known, and some markets have titled the song “Heroin Is So Passé.”

The single peaked at #13 on the UK Singles Chart and #31 on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. The music video, directed by David LaChapelle, features the band among dancing syringes and was praised by Mojo as an arch, playful, taboo-shredding moment. All tracks were written by Courtney Taylor-Taylor.
