Nicolás Federico López Alonso, nicknamed “El Diente” or “El Conejo,” is a Uruguayan forward who plays for Nacional in Uruguay. He was born on 1 October 1993 in Montevideo and is 1.77 meters tall.

Early career
- Started in the youth teams of Montevideo Wanderers (2004–2010) and Nacional (2010–2011).
- Made his professional debut for Nacional in 2011 at age 17 and scored in his first match.

Club career
- Roma (2012–2013): Moved to Roma in 2012 and scored in his Serie A debut against Catania.
- Udinese and loans (2013–2016): Transferred to Udinese in 2013, with loan spells at Verona (2014–2015) and Granada (2015–2016). Returned on loan to Nacional in 2016.
- Internacional (2016–2019): Joined Brazil’s Internacional, playing 139 league games and scoring 33 goals.
- Tigres UANL (2020–2023): Moved to Mexico’s Tigres in 2019/2020, where he became the Apertura 2021 top scorer.
- León and return to Nacional (2023–2025): Played for León (2023–2025) and had a loan back to Nacional (2024–2025).
- Nacional (2025–): Returned to Nacional in 2025.

International career
- Uruguay U20: 22 appearances and 11 goals.
- Won the Silver Ball at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey, helping Uruguay finish as runners-up and scoring four goals in the tournament.
- Named in Uruguay’s 55-man preliminary squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
