Néstor Francisco Nieves, born December 29, 1974, is a retired Venezuelan runner who specialized in middle- and long-distance events, especially the 3000 metres steeplechase. He won gold in the 3000 m steeplechase at the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo. He represented Venezuela at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and won bronze at the 1998 Ibero-American Championships. He also earned medals at the South American Games, Central American and Caribbean Games, Bolivarian Games, and the Central American and Caribbean Championships in Athletics. In 2003, he was the South American champion in the steeplechase. As a youth, he won three golds at the 1990 Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships in Athletics, including a record in the 2000 metres steeplechase.
