Mythimna decisissima is a moth in the Noctuidae family. It was first described by Francis Walker in 1856.

Distribution
It is found from India across Southeast Asia, including Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan, and in Australia (Queensland and New South Wales). It is also found in South Africa.

Size
Wingspan is about 31 mm.

Appearance
- Male: Head, thorax, and abdomen are reddish ochreous with a fuscous (dark brown) tint on the abdomen. The forewings have a prominent short white L-shaped mark on the middle vein. The underside has large areas of metallic scales. There are large paired tufts of black hairs on the basal abdomen. A pale oblique band (fascia) runs from the apex and is outlined by darker shading. Black specks occur in the antemedial, postmedial, and marginal areas, with the first two curved and the first sometimes faint. Hindwings are ochreous and darker toward the outer area. The underside shows golden silvery scales on the forewing disk and on most of the hindwing, except the costa and inner margin. The forewing costa also has a postmedial black spot.
- Female: The forewing is more darkened (fuscous), especially in the cell and beside the apical streak. The underside lacks the silvery areas. Hindwings have a black cell-spot and a postmedial series of specks.
