Museum of Automobiles, established in 1964, is in rural Winrock, Arkansas, near Petit Jean State Park. It shows antique and classic cars, motorcycles, guns, license plates, arcade machines, and other automobile memorabilia, including a rare 1923 Climber touring car made in Arkansas. The museum was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.

Founded by Winthrop Rockefeller, the collection stayed there until his death. In 1975, Rockefeller’s collection was sold to Bill Harrah for $947,000, including 68 motor vehicles and three horse-drawn items. The building was designed by Ginocchio, Carter, Cromwell and Neylan, on 57 acres donated to the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism. A nonprofit reopened the museum in 1976 with cars on loan from collectors around the country. Today the collection includes more than 30 donated automobiles and still features several of Rockefeller’s vehicles, such as his 1951 Cadillac, his 1967 Cadillac limousine with a sterling silver hood ornament, and his 1914 Cretors popcorn wagon.
